Maybe some of our readers will ask themselves the question: “Why the hell these guys do another magazine?”.

The answer? Not that easy I would say. SSB got the idea to do a magazine based on a blog on our way to the Outline party this year. The idea was born in a discussion about what should we do after there will be no Alive diskmag (http://alive.atari.org) any more.

We think that there is enough going on in the retro scene that should be mentioned from an atarian point of view. Also we should look over the edge of our SM124 monitor and write about other stuff that is not Atari related at the first view. Because we know, that everything that is digital is in a relationship to Atari. (We simply believe, that Atari computers are the hubs of the world. ๐Ÿ™‚

So basically if something has a connection to Atari computers and systems, it is suited to get dealt with in the magazine.

Also the blog engine offers us the possibility to have a much deeper communication with the readers. Simply leave a comment under each article if you like, that is pretty easy we think and we will appreciate your feedback a lot.

So we hope that you like our little magazine, and if there will be some kind of feedback, we hopefully could realize some of our further ideas.

We will welcome any new authors and articles. Just contact us and we will find a way to make it happen.

great read, especially check the link to Simon Phipps page, has a run down of all the games he has worked on, some info not found anywhere else

BTW: the rights to Rick Dangerous are still active, Codemasters & (maybe) Blitz Games (suggested maybe Eidos)

good amount of content too, took me more than one session to get through

great stuff, took me on a wander around the net, and the Atari (Steem with R0X)

Got some ideas to do a faithful Lionheart for AtariST, and a Rick Dangerous 3 for Atari ST (Simon give a clue as to what that might be)

    Thanks again

One last thing, after I read the current issue, I had a real hard time finding it again, “low res” is a really common (non-Atari) theme. I suggest adding some more references around the net, an make sure this page (the mag blog) has good search engine ref’s to Atari ST. (I saw the original link on Pouet.net, but there was NO WAY to get it up in their search ๐Ÿ˜ฆ )

  9. Xerus Says:

I have read several articles and i found it excellent (i need time, i’m bad in English ๐Ÿ˜‰ ).
The quality of LowRes is like the blog of Stickhead, i like very much.
I wish a long life for Low Res ๐Ÿ™‚

  10. Strider Says:

Great idea, thank you for your work.
    Long life to Low Rez!
